Paid-to-Click Programs: When it is Right for You?

Paid-to-Click or PTC programs is one of  the most traditional way of earning online. You can register a free account with the PTC site of your choice and simply click on the ads they will show. You can also opt to register for an upgrade or premium account which gives you more advertisements to click and sometimes higher rate per click. 

I can personally attest that I have earned a few dollars from clicking. However, if you are serious in making money online for a decent living, this might not simply be for you as the rate per click can go like $ 0.0001 to $ 0.02 for the free account. The only advantage is - it is usually free to join these programs and the earning is in euro or dollar. 

I am not very pessimistic with these programs. However, there are several things you need to put in mind when you start with PTC programs. Let us now weigh the pros and cons:

• Rate per click is low, you just earn cents (in dollars) per click.
• Job is easy... you simply click and wait for the timer of the advertisement.
• You can open several PTC program and click several ads at a time (but not within the same PTC site), so you finish more ads in few seconds.
• It would not be practical to join this program if you still have to apply for an internet access or buy your computer solely for this reason. It is simply not cost-effective.
• If you are a student in a wifi campus with own laptop, this is advantageous especially when you are simply chatting with friends. (You can click and click while you socialize.)
• If you are an employee with free internet access and computer, you can go to the office before your official time and go home later and click for few minutes a day as your part-time job (unless, there is a strong office rule where you cannot totally use office equipments to personal affairs)
• It is not worth to join the program when you still need to go to an internet cafe just to click on ads (unless you can be very fast in viewing and clicking ads). Generally, you might not be able to earn P15.00 or P25.00 dollar equivalent if you're new in this program.
• If you are a staff (bantay) in an internet cafe where the server is turned on all the time, this could be a perfect way for you to earn extra income. You can still do your job as a staff, you don't waste the owners resources and electricity, and you're productive for the day!
